QUICK TURNAROUND

The pre-production process begins when the manuscript is submitted and the Agreement is signed.

It includes book design, layout, preparation of galleys, and corrections. It may take 2-3 months depending on the number of corrections requested by the author. After final approval of the galleys by the author, the production process begins, which takes 3-4 weeks before the book is released and becomes available for orders. The Author will receive one free copy of the book.

The books are printed, bound, and shipped within 48 hours of order.

HIGH QUALITY

New Academia produces books that rival any offset printer’s product. Paperback covers are printed on white, 100lb, enamel paper and laminated. The book blocks are printed on 55lb, crème white, acid-free paper. Hardback book blocks are bound into either printed four-color laminated cover or a 100% cotton fabric with acrylic-filled coating cover with a gold foil stamped spine and a jacket.

NEVER OUT OF PRINT

New Academia books will never go out of print. The electronic files are stored on a secure, password-protected database and will remain available for the duration of the Agreement.

REPRINTS

New Academia publishes reprints of scholarly books that are no longer on the market. New Academia believes that knowledge should not collect dust on library shelves, but should be kept alive and circulating. Therefore, New Academia makes available new editions of worthy books to new generations of scholars.

Reprints can be submitted as Word files or as hard copy books. Hard copy books are scanned into optical images in pdf, which allows to create high quality print files.
